Journal History
Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Sandi Husada (JIKSH) was first published in 2013 under the Research and Community Service Institute of the Nursing Academy/Politeknik Sandi Karsa, Makassar, Indonesia. The journal was established as a scholarly platform for disseminating research findings, conceptual articles, and field study reports in the broad field of health sciences. JIKSH is published twice a year, in June and December, and provides a forum for lecturers, researchers, students, health professionals, and practitioners to communicate scientific ideas, concepts, empirical findings, and emerging theories in health studies to national and international academic communities.
Since its establishment, JIKSH has continuously strengthened its editorial management, publication quality, and national and international visibility. The journal has achieved SINTA 2 accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia based on Decree No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026 dated 2 January 2026. This recognition reflects the journal's commitment to maintaining high standards of scholarly publishing, peer review, editorial governance, and research dissemination.
As part of its internationalization strategy, JIKSH has expanded its presence in major academic databases and indexing services. The journal is currently indexed in Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and EBSCO, strengthening the accessibility and visibility of its published research among researchers and health professionals worldwide. Through continuous improvement in editorial standards, publication ethics, digital publishing, and international indexing, Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Sandi Husada is committed to becoming a reputable scientific journal that contributes to the advancement of health sciences and evidence-based health practices in Indonesia and internationally.
