JIPPM (Jurnal Inovasi dan Pelayanan Publik Makassar) is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows international best practices in scholarly publishing and adheres to widely accepted ethical guidelines.

Ethical Principles

The journal promotes integrity, transparency, accountability, and fairness in all stages of the publication process. All parties involved in publishing—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—must comply with ethical standards and responsible research practices.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration by other journals. Authors must present accurate data and proper citations for all sources used. Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.

Authors should acknowledge all sources of funding and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Authorship must reflect individuals who have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the scholarly merit, originality, and relevance of the manuscript. Editorial decisions must be free from discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or political beliefs.

Editors must ensure confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished materials for personal research without the author’s permission.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Peer reviewers assist editors in evaluating the quality, originality, and relevance of manuscripts. Reviewers should provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback. Any manuscript received for review must be treated as confidential.

Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

Publication Ethics Issues

Plagiarism

All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using similarity detection software. Manuscripts containing significant plagiarism will be rejected.

Data Integrity

Authors must ensure the accuracy and reliability of data. Any evidence of data fabrication or falsification will result in rejection or retraction.

Duplicate Submission

Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research or review process.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors or ethical violations are discovered after publication, the journal will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary.

Open Access Policy
