JIPPM: Jurnal Inovasi dan Pelayanan Publik Makassar

JIPPM welcomes original, high-quality scholarly articles that make a significant contribution to health policy analysis, health systems, governance, health financing, and policy implementation at national and international levels. The journal publishes Original Research Articles, Policy Analysis Articles, and Review Articles. All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

General Instructions

  1. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.

  2. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English, formatted in Microsoft Word, and comply with the Author Guidelines and journal template.

  3. Manuscripts should be prepared for double-blind peer review; all author identifying information must be removed from the main manuscript file.

Types of Articles

  • Original Research Articles: Empirical research with clear objectives, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions.

  • Policy Analysis Articles: Conceptual or analytical papers that evaluate or compare health policies, systems, or governance.

  • Review Articles: Comprehensive evaluations of current knowledge; may be invited or submitted upon prior consultation with the editorial office.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should follow the IMRAD format where applicable (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion) and include the following sections in order:

  • Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact details.

  • Abstract: Structured abstract (maximum 250 words) summarizing background, methods, results, and conclusion.

  • Keywords: Provide 3–5 keywords in alphabetical order to assist indexing.

  • Main Text: Introduction → Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusion.

  • Declarations: Statements on ethical approval, funding, and competing interests.

  • References: Complete and correctly formatted according to the journal citation style.

Word Count

  • Original Research Articles: 5,000–7,000 words (excluding references)

  • Policy Analysis Articles: 4,000–6,000 words (excluding references)

  • Review Articles: 4,000–7,000 words (excluding references)

Other Requirements

  • All tables and figures should be cited in the text, clear, and appropriately labeled.

  • References must be up-to-date and supportive of the manuscript’s scope and claims.
